  • Midwest States

  • Southwest States

  • Mountain and Pacific States

  • African Americans

  • Presidents

  • The American Revolution

Also have students follow a simple format to write and insert data for additional game categories that correspond directly to your curriculum, your community, current events, or special student projects.

Bob Treebark and the charming hostess, Vanessa, are ready to add a few new names to their list of Faces and Places Aces!

Faces and Places is fun and flexible. Play alone, with a friend, or with the entire class. Add categories that correspond directly with your curriculum at any grade level. Bob's game show question and answer format is great for building knowledge in specific areas and also can be used to focus on vocabulary and spelling. Unscrambling Vanessa's letter clues exercises critical thinking skills.

Bob's qustions may coordinate more precisely with your curriculum if you add your own game categories. You may also find a fun and enlightening opportunity for students by having individuals or small groups research topics in order to create categories on their own. Game categories can focus on your curriculum, your community, current events, this week's vocabulary list, or special student projects.

Follow the simple directions within the program for entering a category title and the questions and answers (max.=256) that go with it. Remember that when playing Level 1 of Faces and Places, only the first 10 questions in a category are used. By entering the easiest and most basic questions first, you help to make Level 1 a good choice for beginners. You will be unable to enter questions or answers that will not fit on the gameboard.
