In order to bring you the ultimate in HDR software, we developed four proprietary tone mapping algorithms. Unlike other applications, which only have only a single tone mapping algorithm, HDR Efex Pro’s multiple tone mapping algorithms truly enable a broader range of results.

By incorporating multiple proprietary tone mapping algorithms HDR Efex Procan support whatever unique look you choose for a particular image. You can add a realistic, subtle touch to your landscape or interior scene, or you can also pick an artistic preset and increase the structure to create a truly unique look. With HDR Efex Pro there are no limits.
Single Image HDR
Achieve a great HDR look when you only have a single image. Single image use is perfect for moving objects, portraits and your back catalog of images.
Not every shot or situation lends itself to the multiple exposures of HDR. However, HDR Efex Pro enables you to use its advanced technology on a single image. For the first time, you can go back into single images shot years earlier and either rejuvenate them or apply a totally modern look.
Some subjects do not lend themselves to being shot with a tripod and bracketed with multiple exposures. Sometimes, what photographers call “the defining moment” happens and you just need to quickly aim and shoot. Whether it’s a swift soccer goal, a hawk soaring overhead, or a dog licking a child’s ice cream cone, HDR Efex Pro lets you take the shot and use the many variations available to edit your image.
High contrast images.
High contrast images are also ideal candidates for HDR enhancements, even if you didn’t shoot with a tripod or have HDR in mind when you originally captured the image. Start with a RAW image, JPG or TIFF and let HDR Efex Pro analyze and enhance your photo.

HDR Efex Pro works seamlessly with Photoshop, including Smart Objects, and as a first among Nik Software tools offers native support to work directly out of Bridge.
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, and Apple Aperture
Lightroom® and Aperture® have become key tools for professional photographers everywhere because of their superior image management capabilities. Selecting multiple exposures to use in HDR Efex Pro is effortless and offers a complete workflow. HDR Efex Pro is both 32-bit and 64-bit compatible for Lightroom and Aperture.
